The city of Oulu rents buildings from Parmaco to fulfil the need for space in schools and day-care facilities. In addition to the school, the Metsokangas School building includes a day-care facility as well. There are eight classrooms, a home economics classroom, teaching rooms and playrooms for two pre-school groups, premises for an open early education group, a kitchen for serving pre-prepared meals and a break room for employees.

In Oulu, there are two school buildings, the Metsokangas School and the Ritaharju School, that operate in premises rented from Parmaco. The Parmaco school buildings are also called mini-community centres because they are easy to modify for other purposes with folding doors and portable partition walls.

“Buildings that only serve as schools are no longer sensible – buildings need to accommodate different uses. This is easy to accomplish when constructing permanent buildings, but can also be achieved with Parmaco’s solutions.”

– Ville Laitinen, Project Architect of the Oulu Premises Centre Enterprise
